Bulah Faye Franks, 75, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born November 6, 1949, to Basil Whitney and Mae Evelyn Wilson Sheffield. She was a supervisor at Metalloy Industries in Verona, until her health declined. She enjoyed gardening, working in her flower beds, tending to her animals, and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. August 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Jackie Gray officiating. Burial will be in the Mantachie Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Mikeal Franks (MaryAnn) of Peaceful Valley; one daughter, Rhonda Clayton (Keith) of Guntown; one brother, Ricky Sheffield of Fulton; five sisters, Hazel Hale (J.D.), Rebecca Senter (Max), Jackie Fuhr (Dave), all of Fulton, Barbara Jean Lindsey of Baldwyn, and Vickie Shelton of Fulton; six grandchildren, Megan Milan (Nick), Derreck Franks (Kelsey), Ashley Sheffield, Amber Vandivander, Jacob Burge (Num), and Bree Stone (Josh); eight great grandchildren, Camrynn Franks, Chance Franks, Lee’Unna Franks, Basilee Vandivander, Colby Vandivander, Kyson Sheffield, Levi Burge, and Darrow Stone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Mike Franks; one daughter, Melissa Dawn Franks; her twin sister, Raye Suddieth; two brothers, James Melvin Sheffield, and Phillip Sheffield; and her parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
