A Celebration of Life for Bula O. Cockrell, 91, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Buddy Perkins officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Ms. Cockrell passed away Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her residence. Ms. Cockrell was born November 26, 1923 in Alabama to Elbert T. and Flonnie Mae Barnes Butts. She was a member of the Assembly of God in Hanceville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, one sister and two sons.
Survivors include her son, Jackie W. Cockrell (Joan); daughter, Yvonne McCormick (Roger); sister, Linda Smith; 10 grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, 18 great-grandchildren, one stepgreatgrandchild and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
