Buford Eldred Melton, Sr. age 84, of Waterloo passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon at The Pentecostals of Florence. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with Bro. Bobby Crosswhite, Rev. Greg Daniel and Rev. Cameron Smith officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Wood, Jeremy Wood, Mitchel Lack, Kyle Lovelace, Brian Sharp, Branton Hewett and Tracy Melton. All other grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Annabel Melton; children, Judy Shiers (Don), Dinah Van Dielen, Buford Melton, Jr. (Linda), Callie Pitts (Joe),Nancy Wood (Johnny), Linda Lack (Jeff), Jeanette Smith (Cameron), and Penny Jeffreys (David) 24 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great Grandson.
