Buddy Lee Armstrong, age 93, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 14th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be Friday, May 15th at 11:00 am at First Free Will Baptist Church of Florence with Brother Mike Crews officiating. He will lie-in-state at the church from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel, Timothy, and Tommy Armstrong, Phil Flannagin, Mike Sylvester, and David Yielding.
Buddy was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Florence where he served as a Trustee and Deacon. He was retired with Reynolds Metal and a U.S. Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 11, VFW. 4919, Korean War Tri-County Chapter, Korean War VA. Association life member, president of Sweet Water Reunion committee, and Officer of Wilson Dam Little League.
He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Armstrong; mother, Linnie I. Blackstock and stepfather, Roy Blackstock; son, Phil Armstrong.
Survivors are his loving wife of 72 years, Joyce Armstrong; son, Mike Armstrong (Deena); grandchildren, Timothy Armstrong (Danielle) and Daniel Armstrong (Megan); great-grandchildren, Kellan, Keira, and Elliott.
