Funeral service for Buddy Benjamin Franklin, 87, of Huntsville, formerly of Danville, will be Monday January 23, 2017 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Camper, Bro. Tony Kent and Bro. Gary Peebles officiating. Visitation will be Monday January 23, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Franklin died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at his residence. He was born on February 9, 1929 in Decatur Alabama to Johnnie Farrish Franklin and Ever Mae Brown Franklin. Mr. Franklin was a Porter for Dunlop Tire and Rubber Corporation where he retired after 23 ½ years of service.
Mr. Franklin was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Hardin Franklin, and his eldest son, Steven Franklin. Mr. Franklin was a member of Sixth Avenue Church of God in Decatur for 68 years.
