Bruce Steward Conley Bruce Steward Conley, age 76 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee died Thursday, September 25, 2025, with his wife and son holding his hands and talking to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Irene Conley; his sisters, Valeria and Jorene; and a brother-in-law, Bill Bennett.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gina; a son, Scott Conley (Mindy) of Amarillo, Texas; two grandchildren, Dylan and Katie Conley of Amarillo, Texas; a brother-in-law and friend, Bill Wade (Irene) of Clifton Forge, Virginia; several nieces, nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Bruce was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Amarillo, TX. He was a 1969 graduate of Amarillo High School and later attended Texas State Technical College, where he studied maintenance engineering. In 1983, he moved to Paris, Texas, where he worked as the Director of Engineering for McQuistion Regional Medical Center.

Bruce and Gina married in 1985, and in 1988 they moved to Murfreesboro, where they remained and built a life. Bruce was employed by Middle Tennessee Medical Center, where he served as the Director of Engineering and was later promoted to Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management. He later worked at Rolling Hills Hospital in Franklin, where he was actively involved in the opening of the facility in 2009.

Bruce was a Ham radio operator going by the call sign KG4KMO and was an avid airplane enthusiast and obtained his small-engine private pilot license in 1984. He also loved history, and particularly WWII, in which his father fought in the Air Force. Bruce also belonged to a local Harley Riders group for years until an accident resulted in him being unable to enjoy this past time.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Bruce may be made to the Beesley Animal Foundation or Murfreesboro P.A.W.S.
