Bruce G. Gentle, age 74, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his residence. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 12:00pm at Mt. Olive Church of Christ near Vernon, AL. Mr. Rick McGee to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the memorial services from 11:00am until 12:00pm.
Bruce was born on March 11, 1951 in Huntsville, AL to the late Floyd H. Gentle and the late Ruth Evelyn Duke. He was a 1969 graduate of Talladega High School and later received his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Bruce taught at Bevill State in Fayette, AL. He was known to be a tinkerer and enjoyed working on small appliances, motors, and doing leather working. Bruce also was a Ham Radio operator. His family meant everything to him and he loved them deeply. His humble and kind spirit and unconditional loving heart will always be cherished and forever missed by all who loved and knew him.
