Brownie Ann Holmberg Davoren, 91, of Huntsville passed away Sunday. She was very devoted to her Bible study group and delivering flowers to her elderly friends in nursing homes. Mrs. Davoren also loved her time at The Wellness Center in the Water Aerobics and Silver Sneakers Classes and worked at Parisian’s for over 25 years.
Mrs. Davoren was predeceased by her first husband James K. Duncan who was killed in WWII, her husband of 52 years, William F. Davoren, and by a son John William Davoren. She was also predeceased by her parents Hilding Holmberg, Sr. and Eleanora, brother, Hilding Holmberg Jr., and sister, Faith McDuffie.
Survivors include daughters, Pamela “Bambi” Salvail (Patrick) of Huntsville and Patricia Degeorge (Chic) of Milford MA; son, Paul Kevin Davoren of Huntsville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church with Father Vincent Bresowar officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hunstville Botanical Gardens Butterfly House, or Holy Spirit Catholic Church building fund.
