On September 9th, 2013, we lost our precious daughter, Brittany Marie Underwood. She was born March 24, 1988 to two of the proudest parents, Alan and Susan Underwood, and an even prouder big sister Natalie.
She was a 2006 graduate of Deshler High School where she represented her class on Homecoming Court each year and was named “Queen” and “Best Looking” her senior year. Along with these titles, her classmates described her as humble, accepting, a sweet soul full of beauty and grace. She then went on to attend The University of Alabama where she received her Bachelor of Science in Apparel Design in 2011.
When she wasn’t having a cup of coffee or catching an Alabama football game with friends, Brittany would most likely be found completely immersed in her design. Her love of fashion and art was not just a hobby, but a lifestyle.
Brittany is preceded in death by her grandparents Patsy Hites, Bobby Jeffreys, William Kee Underwood, and her uncle Andy Underwood. She is survived by her father and mother, Alan and Susan Underwood; sister and brother-in-law Natalie and Joey Fletcher; grandmother Nancy Jeffreys; grandfather Harold Hites; and a special great-aunt Carolyn Wilson. Many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also add to the never-ending list of people who will forever love and remember Brittany.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 17th from 5 pm until 8 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A celebration of her life will be Wednesday, September 18th at 2 pm at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with Chad Holder and Larry Danley officiating.
