Funeral service for Bridget Ann Barbee, age 37, will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Hugh Bohlin officiating. The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home Parlor B. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Bridget, who passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016, at her residence, was born August 3, 1978, to Michael Ray Barbee and Judy Shelton Barbee. Some of her favorite things were Mickey Mouse and The Price is Right television show. She loved pushing her baby doll in the buggy at stores. Bridget was a 1999 graduate of Decatur High Developmental School. She loved being with her niece and nephews, especially one nephew, Aaron, who was special to her and always made her happy. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Ray Barbee; grandparents, Sidney (Reggie), and Joyce Barbee; and Verbon and Jeanette Shelton.
She is survived by her mother, Judy Shelton Barbee; brother, Brandon Barbee; nephews, Alec Barbee and Aaron Barbee; neiece, Cailey Barbee, her special uncle, Kenny Shelton and special aunt, Frances Roach.
Pallbearers will be family.
