Brent Matthew Hodges, age 43, passed away October 22, 2026, at his home in Henderson.
He was born in Jackson, TN, February 4, 1983, son of the late Kristine Denise Gagosian Hodges and Danny Newton Hodges. He grew up in Henderson and was a 2001 graduate of Chester County High School.
Brent attended TCAT in Jackson and was trained as a mechanic. He worked at Bolivar Ford for many years as a mechanic before retiring early due to health problems.
He enjoyed working on cars and hot rods, hunting and gun collecting. Brent was also very computer savvy.
Brent is survived by his father, Danny Hodges and wife Gail of Henderson; a brother, Phillip Hodges (Jennifer) of Henderson; three sisters, Vicki Pevahouse (Codie) and Pamela Alexander both of Decaturville, and Brittney Alexander (Fiancé, Dusty Webb) of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kristine Hodges.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday October 26, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Jeremy Arnold officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue on Monday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM service time.
