Brenda Yarbrough KingBrenda Yarbrough King, 72, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday. Brenda was born in Huntsville and was a member of Huntsville Park Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She had careers with The Boy Scouts of America, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and later in the insurance business. What she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family.

Mrs. King was preceded in death by her grandparents, James “Mack” and Georgia Speegle, Oscar “Chitty” and Lela Yarbrough; parents, William and Imogene Yarbrough; and aunts, Ann McFarlen and Nancy Singleton and husband, James.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald King; son, Steven Harris and wife, Neecie; step-daughter, Scarlett Wilks and husband, Barry; granddaughters, Allie Harris Logan and husband, Caleb, and Julie Harris; step-grandchildren, Emily, Jared, Sarah, Anna, and Abigail Wilks; aunt, Dot “Tiny” Brewer and husband, Pete; uncle, Bob McFarlen; and many cousins.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Mylon Metcalf officiating.
