Brenda Nell Merrell, 67, of Town Creek, Alabama passed away Friday, November 8, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. The graveside service will be at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Providence Cemetery with Bro. Dylan Westbrook officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
Born on February 7, 1957, to Woodie and Iona Parker Reed, Brenda enjoyed gardening, keeping her grass cut short, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Hannah (Cody) Hale; four grandchildren, Will Steadman, Wes Steadman, Addison Hale, and Harper Hale; two sisters, Ellen (Phillip) Brackin and Grace (Buddy) Dean; one brother, James (Philda) Reed; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Merrell; parents, Woodie and Iona Reed; and one brother, Billy Kidd.
Pallbearers will be Will Steadman, Wes Steadman, Cody Hale, Alex Brackin, Cole Borden, and Sam Brackin.
The family extends special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, Dr. Gill, and Dr. Lobo and office staff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Providence Church Cemetery Fund.
