Brenda Mills, age 65, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center.
Brenda loved music, both playing the guitar and singing. She believed in God and was a very spiritual woman. She had a gypsy soul, she loved to travel and ride her motorcycle. She deeply loved her people and especially her grandchildren.
Brenda leaves to cherish her life, her daughter, Sabrina McCafferty; grandchildren, Samarra McCafferty, Letory Terry; siblings, Terry Mills, Harvey “Beau” Mills, Shelia Mills, Donna Mills (John Martin), Michelle Vandiver; siblings in Chicago; nephews, DeWayne Cartee, Shane Cartee, Ryan Allen, Alex Edmond; niece, Harlee Mills; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her partner in life, Helen McCafferty; parents, Claude C.J. & Martha (Kimbrough) Mills; brother, Mike Mills; and nephews, Welsey Mills and C.J. Mills
The family will have a private celebration of Brenda’s life at a later date.
