Brenda Marie Melson, 67, passed peacefully at home and ascended to heaven on Thursday, August 30, 2018. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cledith Melson and her parents, Ross and Francis Adams.
She is survived by her children, Cledith Melson, Jr., Tammy Melson and Dedra Hamilton; grandchildren, Ashley Brannon, Dalton Brannon, Ethan Brannon, Gracie Prestridge, Trinity Prestridge, Melody Garcia, Cheyenne Petty, Kristian Petty, Presley Melson, Meagan Melson and many great-grandchildren.
She was a loving and faithful wife and a compassionate mother who loved unconditionally and loved beyond compare. She was quick to forgive and always encouraged you with a big smile and a tender heart. She was genuine and pure. She was a true friend, always there when trials were heavy and tribulations fell upon us. A true heart and a kindred soul. Her life was about love and loving the ones she cared about the most. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy. A legacy of love, compassion, forgiveness and most of all a thankful heart. She will always be remembered as a sweet, pure and caring person. She is at peace now and rejoicing in heaven. No more pain, no more suffering and no more tears. Rejoice because her name is written in heaven. She has come home. We love you always and forever.
Services will be held on September 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Home in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Jerry Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 3, 11 a.m. until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood.
