Brenda Kay FranklinBrenda Kay Franklin, age 79, of Arab, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026, at MMCN, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 13, 1947, Brenda was the daughter of Cora Lee Criscoe and Ronald Spencer Young. She lived a full and spirited life, known for her love of family and friends, a good adventure, a good story, and most of all, her cherished pets.

Later in life, Brenda became affectionately known as “Nona,” a role she treasured deeply. She found her greatest joy in sharing her adventures with her grandchildren and creating memories that will be remembered forever. She also found comfort and peace in her Christian faith and attended church whenever her health permitted.

Brenda is survived by her son, Mike Franklin, and daughter-in-law, Sam Franklin; her grandchildren, Avery Franklin, Chase Conley, Caycee Franklin, and Bradleigh Shell; her great-grandchildren, Emma, Madelyn, Cayson, and Carson; and her cousins, Alisha Gail Riley and Dottie Ransom.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora Lee Criscoe and Ronald Spencer Young, and her son, Kenneth Wade Morgan.
