Brenda Joyce Smith age 60 of Michie, TN was born July 8, 1956 in Corinth, MS. She enjoyed writting in her journal, dancing and singing along to any Al Green’s or Marvin Gaye’s music. Most importantly, Brenda loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and family. She departed this life at home on March 12, 2017 in Michie, TN.
She is survived by her mother, Phyllis Bennett Phillips of Selmer, TN; Eddie Joe Smith who was married to Brenda for 15 years and still remained close; a daughter, Trinity Nichole Chambers of Michie, TN; a son, Jeffery Lee Gordon Jr. and wife Candace of Savannah, TN; two sisters, Patricia Hollin Churchwell of Michie, TN, Terry Jo Hollin Pruitt and husband Jimmy of Stantonville, TN; four grandchildren: Mallori Willoughby and husband Cody, Hannah Perkins, Jeffery Lee Gordon III and Kaisen Avery Gordon; two step grandchildren, Bradley Tacker and Romie Tacker; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Dorsey Glenn Hollin; a brother, James Michael Hollin; and a stepson, Jonathon Bradley Tacker.
