Mrs. Brenda Joyce Shields, age 64, of McMinnville, TN passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at NHC HealthCare with her family lovingly by her side. She was born in Dreux, France on October 08, 1960 to the late James Franklin and Estelle Warren Killebrew. Brenda was a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ and was a substitute teacher with the Warren County School system. She enjoyed working at all of the schools but especially was fond of being with the young adults at the high school. She was a magnet to children she met everyone – they loved her and she loved them. Brenda loved all animals (dogs and cats were her favorites). She was a true people person with a bubbly and loving personality. Some might even call her a little chatterbox.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years Wayne Shields, only son Matt Shields, siblings Joe (Deann) Killebrew, Pat (Jim) Bronk, Shirley Hyder, Peggy (Don) Webster, Ken (Debbie) Killebrew, and Sheila Cass, numerous nephews, nieces, and family friends. Brenda’s sweet and kind heart belonged to her devoted husband, child whom she adored, and her close-knit family and dear sisters.
Funeral service for Brenda Shields is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 25, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Trent Key and Pat Bronk will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
