Brenda Gail Crews Byrd was born July 06, 1947 in Lawrenceburg, TN to the union of the late Wilburn and Ella Sue Gobel Crews. She was united in marriage to Charlie Byrd on June 07, 1963. Mr. Byrd preceded her in death on January 24, 2022. She was a member of the Wayne Furnace Church of Christ. Mrs. Brenda was talented, demonstrating those talents through her love of cross-stitching and sewing. She loved to travel and was always ready for a trip to the beach where she could spend time with her family. Mrs. Brenda departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024 in Columbia, TN making her stay in this life some 77 years, 2 months, and 10 days.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters, Dawn Sinclair and husband Bill of Waynesboro, TN; Daphne Woodside and husband Eddie of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren: Ian Powell, Reagan Powell, Tyler Woodside and wife Martha Kristin, Alexandra Woodside, Charli Quintana and husband D.J., Jake Sinclair and Will Sinclair.
In addition to her parents and husband of 58 years, she is preceded in death by a son, Alexander Grant Byrd; one sister, Carol Gobbell; and one brother, Jimmy Crews.
Visitation with the Byrd family will be on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ from 11:00 AM until service time.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 beginning at 2:00 PM at Wayne Furnace Church of Christ with Kenley Bates and Troy Goldsby officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery.
