Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Epperson Hogland, age 73 of Goodwater, will be held Monday, August 16, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland with Bro. Scott Epperson officiating. Burial will follow in the Millerville Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Hogland passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born and raised in Blount County, where she lived up until 1988 when she moved to Clay County. She had been employed at New South Sewing, formerly Higgins Embroidery for several years. She really enjoyed her work and spending time with her co-workers. She Loved SEC football and was an avid Alabama fan, enjoyed going to Wal-Mart and loved her babies, Precious and Butch.

She is survived by two sons: Scott Epperson (Michelle) of Ashland and Michael Nash of Millerville, five grand-children: Michael S. Nash (Alicia), LeAnna Epperson (Brandon), Jami Russo (Phillip), Nicholas Epperson (Savannah), Nathaniel Epperson (Fiance’ Cierra) plus seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles L. Beasley and Annie Mae Robinette Beasley and her husbands, Boyd Epperson and Junior Hogland.

Pallbearers will be Michael S. Nash, Nicholas Epperson, Nathaniel Epperson, Brandon Epperson, Curtis Darley and William Summerville. Phillip Russo will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland on Sunday August 15, 2021 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Monday.
