Brenda Annette Cato, age 74, of Adams, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at her home. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Reverend Chuck Cato officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Cemetery with Tim Seirman, Tom Sierman, Josh Cato, Tyler Cato, Dillion Cato, and Cameron Hoskins serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10am until the hour of service at 2pm.
Mrs. Cato was born January 10, 1948 in Springfield to the late James and Robbie Crain Pendleton. She worked at Wilson Sporting Goods and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, especially her kids, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her fur babies.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cato is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Cato and her sister, Judy Ruffin. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Scott and Karen Hoskins; daughter and son-in-law, Chanin and Buzzy Seiber; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Donald and Cathy Cato, Jr.; step-daughters and step-son-in-law, Brenda and Timmy Sierman and Susan Dubois; sister, Dorothy Cowan; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
