Brandon Stewart Moorman went to Heaven on Christmas Eve.
Brandon was born on August 7, 2000 in Birmingham, AL to his proud mom, Liz Moorman. Liz’s greatest joy in life has been raising her sons, Brandon and Michael.
From a young age, Brandon was an avid sports person, playing baseball, basketball, football, tennis, and running cross-country. Brandon also had a natural music ability. He was a passionate musician, playing the guitar, bass guitar, piano, and drums with family and friends. He especially enjoyed playing and recording music with his Uncle Joe. Brandon was incredibly smart, scoring perfect on the ACT and receiving a significant financial scholarship to college. Brandon was a junior at Tulane University studying Economics with plans to spend the summer abroad in London.
While at Tulane, he continued to pursue his passion for music playing in bands with friends. Brandon had a kind spirit and was a sensitive soul. He also had a witty and sarcastic side. He loved the finer things in life, learning these things from Doc and Honey, his grandparents. He was a foodie and had a heart for travel, enjoying time in New York City and Los Angeles. Brandon loved his family and also loved animals, especially his dog, Kenny.
In addition to his mom, Brandon’s remaining relatives include his loving brother, Michael Joseph Moorman; his doting grandfather, Dr. Robert Moorman; his uncles, Joseph Brandon Moorman (Vanessa), and Robert Searcy Moorman III; and many other relatives, and loved ones. Brandon is deeply missed yet in our grief we rejoice that he is with our loving God.
A memorial service and reception to follow will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 11 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 110 W. Hawthorne Road, Homewood, Alabama. For anyone planning to attend, dress casually, but please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society or the Greater Huntsville Humane Society in memory of Brandon.
