Brandon Glenn-Steven Richie, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on April 8, 2019 of a sudden cardiac arrest.  He was born on May 3, 1993 at Evans Army Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.
He attended and graduated from Grissom High School in May 2011.  While attending Grissom HS, Brandon played varsity football and ran track.  He was a natural athlete; in one football game, he scored five touchdowns.
After caring for his dad for nearly three years, Brandon returned to Huntsville and enrolled in J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College studying computer engineering.  He had many passions.  Brandon dreamed of becoming a Soldier and serving his country.   In 2013, he enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Medic and while at Basic Training sustained an injury that did not heal properly; he was medically discharged.
Brandon was a very intelligent young man and knew so much about everything.  Brandon also loved the Lord with all his heart.  During the most difficult time in his life, he ministered to others and received the nickname “Rev.”  Music, gaming, and dancing always brought him to his happy place.  He loved to DJ whenever given the opportunity and was a talented rapper.
He was a selfless young person that would help anyone who asked.  His smile and large laugh brightened any room he entered.  Brandon lived his life passionately, but nothing gave him a greater feeling of comfort and joy than his title as Uncle to Jayden and Jeremiah. He would always say that they were his buddies and he loved them so much.
Brandon Glenn-Steven’s favorite saying was “Winners Never Quit, and Quitters Never Win.”  He is a Winner and never Quit living life to the fullest.
Brandon is survived by his parents Glenn and Diane (Pat) Richie, his sister Jessica, his “sister “ Rosalin, his aunts, uncles, nephews Jayden and Jeremiah Richie and a host of  cousins, and friends.
This obituary is short because his life was too short.
Visitation is Sunday April 14, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at the Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL. Chapel service will be Monday, April 15th at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will be in MI.
