It is with great sadness that the family of Brad Alan McCorkle announces his tragic death on Tuesday, May 19,2026.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Jack McCorkle; his mother, Frances McCorkle; the Love of his life and Soulmate of 31 years, Christy McCorkle; Brothers, Randy and Lance McCorkle and Mother-in-law, Sara Elizabeth Booream Doss. He is survived by Cousins, Sherry Watkins (Charles), Donna Kamauoha (Laakea), Tammy Irons Hallman (Curly), Scott Irons (Tammy) and Aunt Jo Irons. He is also survived by Sisters-in-law, Penney Griffin and Cynthia Briand, Brother-in-law Chris Booream (Alicia), Nieces Lauren Wright (Chase), Maggie Tays (Hunter);
Nephews, John Woodward (Lauren) and Trey Booream and his dear friend, Andy Griffith.
Brad was born on December 31, 1957. He graduated from Central High School in 1976 and worked at TJ’s as the Manager of the Shipping Department until it closed. He and Christy owned several Convenience Stores in Northwest Alabama for many years. Brad enjoyed volunteering at the Help Center and until his death, he worked part-time at Lowe’s making many lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a Charity of your choice in his memory.
