HUNTSVILLE-The Huntsville Police have made an arrest in the murder of Tonya Lynn Amerson. Amerson’s body was found on Friday, October 16 behind the Target store in the Valley Bend Shopping Center on Carl T. Jones Drive Jones .

night, October 17. Payton was Amerson’s boyfriend according to investigators.
Police Investigators say they became aware of information that resulted in police arresting Payton for Amerson’s murder. The murder is still under investigation and details on the how Amerson was killed are not being released.
