Funeral service for Boyd William Stringer, 97, will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Key Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Stringer died on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born September 16, 1916, in Morgan County to Dan Stringer and Ida Brown Stringer. He was a self employed Contractor and Carpenter. Mr. Stringer was a Baptist in his faith and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. He was also a World War II Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife: Gertrude Johnson Stringer, two brothers: Dewitt Ernest Stringer and John Bruce Stringer and his parents.
