Boyd Brown – Obituary

A celebration of life service for Mr. Boyd Brown, 69, of Middleton, TN will be 1:30 pm, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at VFW Post 6496, 285 Airways Blvd, Jackson, Tennessee.

He passed away Saturday morning at his home.

Mr. Brown was born in Fayette County, TN, the son of the late Mitchell and Maudie Henley Brown. He was the husband of Teresa Collins Brown, whom he married November 7, 1990. He had lived in Hickory Valley, TN for several years before moving to Middleton in 2004.

Mr. Brown was an accomplished musician having been guitarist and keyboard player for the Wolf River Band since 1969. A member of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the District 15 area of Fayette County, he enjoyed yard work, restoring old cars, upholstery work and family time. He was a big fan of “The Andy Griffith Show” never missing an opportunity to watch an episode regardless of how many times he may have seen it.

He leaves his wife of nearly 27 years, Teresa, of Middleton; his daughter, Tracy (Phil) Williams of Middleton; his son, Troy (Jen) Alves of Nashville; his sisters, Josie Inzirillo and Margaret Tippitt, both of Somerville and Rosemary Hunt of Olive Branch, MS; his brother, Otis Brown of Macon, TN; four grandchildren, Ashley Michelle Spoon of Holly Springs, MS, Benjamin David, Phyllis Gail and Shelby Dawn Brown, all of Middleton; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a grandson, Billy Ray Brown.
