Boyce D. Johnson, 82, of Ft. Payne died peacefully on June 16, 2025 at his home. He was born on May 9, 1943 in Geraldine, Alabama to Bart and Icey Johnson. He retired from Goodyear after a career working in the engineering department. He was a devoted husband, father, and beloved grandaddy.
Boyce is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Johnson; son, Billy Johnson, daughter, Sheila Johnson, daughters-in-law Brett Szymendera (Andy) and Blair Clanton (Paul); his grandchildren, Elijah and Hannah Johnson, Lisa Richey-Atkins, David Richey (Jessie), Jenny Nuckles, Rokkit Crokett, Elizabeth, Anderson and Anna Szymendera, Miles, and Bailey Clanton; 6 great grandchildren, Emily May, Zeb, Nova and Zander Adkins, Olivia Crumpton, Alayna Jones; sister, Lynn Reeves (Dub), brother Aaron Johnson and brother not by blood, but by choice, Robert Dunbar.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bart and Icey Johnson, his mother-in-law Faye Adams, several brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Whitehall Methodist Church on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Whitehall Methodist Church.
