Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Wadley Powers, age 84, are scheduled for 3 PM, Friday, December 12, 2014 at New Bethel United Methodist Church with Bro. Mark McCaslin officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Powers passed away late Tuesday in Jackson. She was born December 19, 1929 in Henderson County to the late Carl and Lula “B” Smith Wadley. She was a production worker at Brown Shoe for 35 years and a member of New Bethel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Paul Powers; her daughter, Pam Duke; and a granddaughter, Kristie Duke. Survivors include her daughter, Beverly (Jack) Manley; her son-in-law, Rickie Duke; her sister, Joyce Wolf; and four grandchildren, Barbara Manley, Karla Manley, Kristina Duke, and Rickie Paul Duke.
