Bonnie Sue “Nana” Azbell, 67, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015. Visitation will be today from noon-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mark Wiggington officiating. The burial will be at Shoals Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Azbell was a native of Colbert County and attended Cox Boulevard Church of Christ and Highland Park Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Samantha Caudill, parents, Dudley and Virginia Meadows, and sister, Yvonne Wiggington.
Nana is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Mickey Azbell; daughters, Kim Hogland (Travis Knight), Amy Azbell (Lee Nelson), Tara Johnston (Bill), and Sabrina Smith (David); son, Cody Mansell; sisters, Shelia Meadows and Cathy Mansell; ten grandchildren, Chris and Brandon Sutphin, Ashton Waddell, Gannon and Kaylie Gann, Valerie Smith, Dylan and Lindsey Beth Johnston, Davey Smith, and Jealynn Mansell; and one great-granddaughter, Ramona Lee Sutphin.
Pallbearers include Dusty and Cody Mansell, Bill Johnston, Travis Knight, Lee Nelson, David Smith, Chris and Brandon Sutphin, Darrell Robertson, and Brad Caudill.
The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Helen Keller Hospital ICU, Muscle Shoals Fire and Rescue, and to Dr. Faizullah Syed and Dr. Tim Martin.
