Bonnie Malone Swindle – Obituary

Bonnie Malone Swindle, 83, of Tuscumbia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 28, 2018. Her visitation will be Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Paul Swindle, Ed White and Adam Evans officiating. She will be buried in Piney Grove Cemetery.

Bonnie was a native of Tuscumbia and a member of the Valdosta Church of Christ. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who believed it was better to give than receive. She loved caring for others and was a great southern cook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Swindle; parents, Willie and Lillian Malone; sisters, Billie Lansford, Faye Posey and Bebe Brooks; brother, Bobby Malone; half-sister, Omie Pennington; and half-brother, Roy Malone.

Her survivors include her sons, Edward Swindle (Vicki) and Jason Swindle (Rebecca); daughter, Beverly King (Donny); half-sister, Audrey Robinson; three grandchildren, Brooke Pigg (Todd), Josh King (Amanda) and Jakob Swindle; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Savanna and Natalie Pigg; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Josh King, Donny King, Todd Pigg, Dan Henry Mickler, Joey Archer and Dale Dobbs.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

The family expresses special thanks to the staff of Keller Hospice, especially Melinda Smith, Dr. Brian Richards, Dr. Andre Taylor and Stephanie Dobbs.
