Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Kay Harris, age 98 of Lineville, will be held on Wednesday April 10, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Rev. John Howell officiating. Burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Harris passed away on April 7, 2024 at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. Bonnie was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, and a graduate of Lineville High School and member of Providence Methodist Church. She influenced many young lives during her 37 year career as a cashier at the Piggly Wiggly in Lineville. She was a devoted wife for over 70 years, loved spending time with her family enjoyed the Sunday night dinners long ago when all the family would gather round. She was a good listener and always concerned and cared about others especially her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Jonell Bishop (Doug) of Lineville and Brenda Wentz of Douglasville, Ga., one son Fred Harris (Mary) of Lineville, and four grandchildren, David Wentz (Rita), Annette Campbell (Scott), Scott Wentz (Donna) and Justin Bishop (Brandi), plus 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred M. Kay and Estelle Short Kay, her husband Jack Harris, two sisters, Edna Woods and Delta Vickers, and one infant brother.

Pallbearers will be Justin Bishop, Scott Campbell, David Wentz, Scott Wentz, Austin Wentz, and Gage Wentz.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Tuesday April 9, 2024 from 5:30 to 8:00 P.M. and until service time on Wednesday.
