Mrs. Bonnie Belew Gruber Darby, 75, of Florence, passed away to her Heavenly Home Saturday September 8, 2012, at El Reposo Nursing Facility. Visitation will be 6pm until 8pm Monday at Greenview Funeral Home. The graveside service will be at 11am Tuesday in St. Michael’s Cemetery with Rev. Henry Melton officiating.
She was retired from the Florence Clinic where she worked in the records department.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William Lawrence (Bill) Gruber; parents, Benton F. and Eula Belew; sons-in-law, John G. Blake, Jr. and Ralph Thomas Mock, Jr. She is survived by her son, Donnie Darby (Alison), Madison, AL; daughters, Donna Mock, Stafford, TX, Dawn Barcomb (Randy), Gadsden, AL, Druann Kelley (Len), Florence, AL and Delana Blake, Florence, AL; 10 grandsons and 5 granddaughters.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family wishes to thank the 5th floor nurses and staff of ECM Hospital and El Reposo Nursing Home, Brooke Allard of El Reposo, and Brandi Hubbard, RN of Amedisys Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Darby.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the building fund of Faith Church.
