UPDATE!!
FLORENCE-A BOLO has been issued and the information is sketchy from Lawrence County, Tennessee. No photo of the child has been provided . Here is what we have from the Florence Police Department to date:
“Update BOLO Missing/ Endangered from TN; Correct name is Ashlynn Tay Young, 3’6″, approx. 50 lbs, Blonde hair/ Blue eyes. Suspect is Amanda Young, 30 yo white female, 5’2″, 117 lbs, Brown Hair/ Hazel Eyes. Child (victim) was in the custody of the grandmother. Mother had no legal rights to child. Child may be in danger due to mother’s mental condition. Any info contact Lawrence CO, TN SO. Child/Mother may be enroute to Mobile, AL area. No further on vehicle at this time.”
“We are giving as much info as we have. Our position is that it’s better to give minimal info (which is what we have been given) rather than no info. Once we have more from TN authorities we will give more.
Missing/ Endangered; Ashlon Kay Young 6 yo (dob 8/27/08) taken from David Crockett Elem School at approx 08:00 today. Child taken by Amanda Young. Last seen in a 4D White vehicle with Alabama Tag. Child was in state custody at the time the child was taken. Any contact please notify FPD or Lawrence County, TN SO.”
