Steenson Hollow Marina
MUSCLE SHOALS – Muscle Shoals Police say a woman’s body was recovered from the water at Steenson Hollow Marina on Wilson Lake in Muscle Shoals. Colbert County Coroner, Carlton Utley says the body was that of a female. Her age is as yet undetermined. From the condition of the remains, it appears that the body has been in the water for some time. One estimate puts the length of time the body was immersed to be at least 2-plus weeks.
Muscle Shoals Police received the call about the body washing up at the marina around 1:00 pm on Monday, April 7th.
Utley said the body is in Huntsville for a Alabama State medical examiner autopsy.
The cause of death has not been released and there has been no identification of the body as of this writing.
