FLORENCE-On Thursday, August 22 the Florence Police received a call around 6:20 PM from a fisherman who discovered a body floating in the Tennessee River at McFarland Park on Cypress Creek.
The deceased man was pulled from the water and the Police say the man has been identified. The name is being withheld pending further investigation. Detectives at the scene say the male victim is between the age of 30 and 50 and they are not sure how long he may have been in the river.
Alabama Marine Police along with the Florence Police Department are handling the investigation.
