Bobby Dean Wilkerson Bobby Wilkerson went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 17 at his residence with family at his bedside.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel.  Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery on Hay Valley Road.  Daniel Gann and Hollis Alexander will officiate.

Bob was born to Alec and Louise Wilkerson on October 25, 1938.  Bob was a UMWA miner for 30 plus years before retiring.  He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and loved Alabama football and Nascar racing.  He loved his wife and children dearly.  He thought the world of special friend and neighbor Bodie Cordell.  He had many dear friends, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Maternal and Paternal grandparents; his Daddy and Mother-Alec and Louise Wilkerson; Brothers-Frank, Kenneth, Joe, Barry and Dennis; Sisters-Elizabeth and Shirley; Son-in-Law-Ricky Light; Grandson-Adam Light.

He is survived by his Loving wife of 62 years-Bonnie; Daughters-Pamela Light (David) and Melissa Wise (Kenneth); Son-Wayne Wilkerson (Laura); Grandchildren-Andy and Savannah Light, Kodey and Jennifer Wise, Tyler Wise, Kyle and Kellie Mays, Sara Bates and Jessica Wilkerson; Great Grandchildren-Kloe, Kayleigh and Ayden Light, Madisyn Wise, Tynslee and Titus Bates, Konner and Keagan Mays.

Pallbearers will be Andy Light, Kodey Wise, Tyler Wise, Jay Dunn, Mack Lynn, Benjamin Wilkerson and Pete Wilkerson.
