Bobby Wayne Tate, age 87 of Huntsville, AL went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2025, he passed away peacefully in his sleep at home. He was born on November 21, 1938, in Huntsville, AL to Houston Tate Sr and Allie Tate.
Bobby was employed by the United States Postal Service for 37 years. Most of his service with the postal service was as a letter carrier in the Sherwood Park area of Huntsville AL. Bobby retired from the Postal Service in the spring 1998.
In addition to his service with the postal service, Bobby also served the Lord as an ordained deacon at several Baptist Churches in Huntsville AL and taught Sunday School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings, and his granddaughter. Jessica.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Margaret Tate; three children and their families; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation all be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Westlawn Baptist Church in Huntsville AL. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
