Bobby “Tub” Haygood, age 78, of Boaz, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Liberty Baptist Church in Aroney. The burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Wayne White and Bro. Tex Martin will officiate. The pallbearers will be Harold Hunt, Ronnie VanAlphen, Dillon Haygood, Jaxon Haygood, Eli Dunn, Chris Beck, Kent Jones, and Brandon Stanfield. The honorary pallbearers will be David Dunn and the family of Victor George. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Friday evening at Albertville Memorial Chapel.
He is survived by his daughters; Susan (Richard) Rutledge and Sonya (Mark) Williams, chosen son; Shane (Julie) Haygood, grandchildren; Chase Williams, Taylor Ann Rutledge, McKenzie Williams, and Trey Rutledge, brother; Rickey (Pam) Haygood, brother-in-law; Hulane (Irene) Davis, and a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife; Patsy Haygood, parents; Burrell Luther Haygood and Jeffie Christine Haygood, and a sister; Barbara Martin.
The family would like to thank his caregivers; Jackie Gilbreath, Kristi Dunn, and Billie Childers, and also Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
The family will accept flowers or donations to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice.
