Bobby Ray “Butch” Morgan, 71 of Sumiton, passed away Sunday Nov. 30, 2025. He was a member of Dora Church of God. He loved his family and his abundance of friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Janice Vining Morgan.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Morgan; daughter- in-law, Miranda Morgan; granddaughter, Grace Morgan (Christian); and great grandson, Westyn Allen Morgan; sister, Jackie Flo York; sister, Vickie Vickers; sister-in-law, Wanda Vining Goolsby (Gary); brothers, Charlie York and David Ackers (Sarah); good friends, Don Schumacher, Wes Tilly (Lia), Bobby Phillips, Brandon and Brittany Hayes, Kristie Hollis, James Vance, and a host of nephews and nieces.
He had an abundance of friends that he enjoyed socializing with frequently. If you didn’t know him, give it about five minutes and I promise you would think you had known him forever. He never met a stranger and would try to help anyone he could.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Dec. 3, 25 at 11:00 am at Dora Church of God. Pastor Rick Levell, Rev. Lewis Smith and Rev. Don Stanton will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Adamsville. Visitation is Wednesday from 10-11 am at the church.
