Bobby Ray Bishop, age 90 of Haleyville, passed away Tuesday July 1, 2025, at the Lakeland Community Hospital. Bobby was born to Freddie and Oma Bishop on July 15, 1934. He was a hardworking man who loved and cherished his family dearly. Bobby loved to work with his hands as he could often be found wood working. Bobby was a committed and faithful member of the Old Union Baptist Church. A visitation will be held at the Old Union Baptist in Haleyville, Alabama on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. where a funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Brother Venlon Bradford will Officiate. Burial will take place in the Old Union Church Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama. Bobby is survived by his wife of 64 years, Laura Scogin Bishop; daughter, Rebecca Bishop Reynolds and her husband Jeff; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Ray Bishop; parents, Freddie E. and Oma King Bishop; and sisters, Wilma Cagle and Laura Englebert.
