Bobby R. Childress, age 88 of Albertville passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Collinsville Health and Rehab.
His funeral service will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Pine Grove #1 Baptist Church in Guntersville. Rev. Jason Kirkland and Rev. Carey Sims will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Pine Grove #1 Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Powell, Adam Lindblad, Jonathan Lindblad, Michael Darden, Taylor Williams and Caleb Mason. The family will receive friends from 11 until 12 at the church.
Mr. Childress is survived by his daughters; Brenda Childress, Barbara Lindblad (Clifton), Peggy Darden (David) and Karen Mason (Phillip), his grandchildren; Kara Davis (Duke), Ryan Powell, Adam Lindblad (Courtnie), Jonathan Lindblad (Ashley), Michael Darden (Taylor), Mary Claire Williams (Taylor), Lindsey Miller (Andrew) and Caleb Mason (Holly), 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law; Dot Childress.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Rev. Charlie and Daisy Childress, sisters; Mae Simpson, Ramona Lang and Sybil Bryson and brother; Buddy Childress.
