Bobby “Moe” Jones, age 80 of Florence passed away on March 21, 2024. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. till 11:00 A.M. at Williams Funeral Home of Florence, with services to follow at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the funeral home. Ernie Emmons will be officiating. Burial will be at Mt Olive Freewill Baptist cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Fay Parker, Darriel Mitchell, Donnie Parrish, Allen Jones, Mike Edwards and Leroy Willis. Honorary pallbearers will be Herbi Harrison, Ancil Michael, Fred Bevis, Larry Newkirk and Donny Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dallas and Cloteel Jones and a brother Jack Jones.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 60 years Doris Jones. His daughter Anita Herring (Bob) and his son, Kenneth Jones (LaDonna). Five grandchildren: Amber Carruth (Chad), Jessica Olive (Robbie), Cody Jones, Coty Capley, and Nikki Jones. Seven great-grandchildren: Connor Carruth, Trinity Carruth, Hayden Rainey, Ansley Rainey, Levi Jones, Hanna Olive and Beau Olive. Two brothers, Rogers Jones (Rose), and Tim Jones (Karen). One sister Frances Balentine.
Mr. Jones was an active member of Grace Baptist Church. He was employed by IMC Fertilizer for forty-four years.
