Bobby Ligon Montgomery, 71, of Tuscumbia, passed away Feb. 5, 2013.
Visitation will be Thursday Feb. 7, 2013, from noon-1p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. in the chapel Burial will follow at Poplar Creek Cemetery. Brother Chris Darby is officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Price and Vesta Montgomery; sons, Bobby Eugene and Jimmy Lawrence Montgomery; grandson, J.J. Montgomery; brothers, Mike, Charles and James Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife of 38 wonderful years, Catherine Montgomery;
sons, Chris and Jeff Montgomery, Frankie and Lynn McDougal;
daughters, Pam Raines, Maxine Ikerman, Rhonda Statom and Jennie Barnett;
brother, Gerald Montgomery; sister, Judy Oliver;
20 grandchildren; and a host of loving great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Greg Barnett, Anthony Chapman, Andrew Huggins, Jay Ikerman, Devin Prestage, Bobby Montgomery and Cameron Barnett.
Mr. Montgomery was a member of Labor Local No. 366. He worked in construction for 42 plus years and was of the Baptist faith.
