Bobby Lee Parrish – Obituary

Bobby Lee Parrish, 78, of Double Springs, entered into rest on January 25, 2018 at Russellville Hospital.

Bobby was born on July 14, 1939, in Moulton, Alabama. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, and paw paw.  Bobby was loved by many.  He had a great sense of humor.  If you were around him long, he would have you laughing.  In his early years Bobby enjoyed coon hunting and had many buddies that could tell you stories.  Bobby will be missed and honored by many.  He left a mark on this earth that will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 6pm-8pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. Services will be held at Liberty Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, Phil Campbell on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 2pm.  He will lie in state form 11-2pm.  Brother Brian Fuller will officiate. Burial will follow in Frost Chapel Cemetery, Haleyville.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 57 years, Opalene “Dean” Parrish; daughters, Ladana (Ronnie) Haley, Michelle (Dennis) Prescott, Regina (Darrell) Ponder, Leann (Brad) Trapp; brothers, Robert Junior Parrish, Wayne (Johnnie) Parrish, Jimmy (Peggy) Parrish, Roger (Janette) Parrish, Gabriel (Dorthy) Parrish; sister, Sue (Richard) Elliott; he was “Paw Paw Bobby” to 8 grandchildren, Ashley Garrison, Kaitlin (Tyler) Harris, Casey Hill, April Garrison, Caleb (Lexie) Hill, Breanna (Jared) Tittle, Daylee Grace Trapp; 7 great grandchildren, Haley Garrison, Hunter Garrison, Emma Hill, Addie Hill, Grayson Tittle; and  many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son; Darren Keith Parrish; grandson, Noah Lane Trapp; parents, Odie and Lillian Parrish; and sister, Betty Waldrop.
