Mr. Bobby John Evett, age 84, of Hollywood, Alabama died peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
He was born March 19, 1941 in Jackson County to Jim and Myrtle (Seabolt) Evett. He was the 12th of 14 children and the straight 7th son.
Bobby painted houses for a living before retiring 3 years ago, He also built and remolded numerous houses. He was always busy building many things. He was an avid horse lover and showed horses in his younger days. Other, than working, Bobby enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Judy Sharp, Eva Sue (Don) Wolfe, Glorina (Darryl) Jeffery, Ted Thompson, Denise (Jonathan) Browning; and his loving girlfriend Darnell Williams; 23 grandkids; 35 great grandkids; and 2 great-great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Myrtle Evett; 13 brothers and sisters; son in-law, Billy Sharp; and daughter in-law, Fern Thompson.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Center Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
