Bobby Joe Taylor, age 74, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. His visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Mark Daniel officiating. Burial will be in Vandiver Hollow Cemetery.
Bobby was a member of the First Baptist Church of Littleville. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Tharp; father, Rural Taylor; brother, Leonard Taylor; and sisters, Joyce Nelson, Patsy Harris and Betty McCluskey. Bobby was a longtime employee of the Colbert County School System. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend. A special thanks to each and everyone for their kind words, prayers, calls and texts. Also with gratitude to Amedisys Hospice and Home Health.
Survivors include his loving spouse of 55 years, Barbara Taylor; children, Jimmy Taylor (Darlene), Randy Taylor (Rita) and Mike Taylor (Sheree); brother, Jimmy Tharp; sister, Bonnie Johnson; grandchildren, Ryan Taylor (Paige), Craig Taylor, Callie Taylor, Cassidy Taylor, Cayla Taylor and Nathan Jones (Hannah); and great-grandchild, Amelia Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Taylor, Randy Taylor, Mike Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Craig Taylor and Ben Rikard.
