Bobby Joe Lance, of Attalla, Alabama, passed away at home on Thursday, September 3, 2026. He was 83 years old.Bobby enjoyed working for many years as the owner of Lance Logging Company. He also loved southern food, John Wayne movies, and watching westerns on television. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Cathy (James) Pope of Dallas, TX; sister, Joyce Hill of Rainbow City, AL; and stepsons Alan (Levie) King, Dennis (Melinda) King, and Chris (Debbie) King, all of Ringgold, GA; along with several grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella Lance; father, William (Bill) Lance; mother, Annie Mae Pruitt Lance; siblings, Ray Lance, Billy Lance, Dorothy Helms, Louise Segers, Jimmy Lance, and Barbara Fugatt.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00am, Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, AL.
Bobby’s final resting place will be next to his wife at Anderson Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ringgold, GA.
Pallbearers: David Battles, Bobby Fugatt, Jud Fugatt, Allen Green, Kyle Green, and Michael Lance.
