Bobby Joe King, age 73, passed away at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama on the morning of April 14, 2026. He was a long-time resident of the Morgan City area. He was born in Marshall County Alabama on January 20, 1953, to Woodrow King and Beatrice Charlotte Pettit King.
Bobby dedicated his work life to the dental industry as a technician. His work was a source of pride and joy. He saw his work in the dental industry as a way to give people a newfound sense of pride and confidence. Bobby enjoyed fishing, Alabama football and music. The joy he found in music was much more than listening to it. His love of music resulted in him sharing his passion for it by playing the guitar in different bands.
Bobby is survived by his grandchildren, Lyric, Carmen and Kennedy; his brother, Charles King (Brenda); and his sister, Brenda G. Freeman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow King and Beatrice Charlotte Pettit King; his son Kerry King and his brother Elton King.
A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 – 2:00pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
