Bobby Joe Grisham – Obituary

Bobby Joe Grisham was born January 16, 1935 in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late Lemual and Amanda Grisham. He was united in marriage to Montez Weaver Grisham on December 24, 1953. Bob lived in Morris Chapel most of his young life. He moved to Peoria, Illinois with his beautiful bride in 1954 where he worked sheet metal until he retired in 1978. He then moved his family back to Morris Chapel, Tennessee. He worked for Tom Bigby Waterway until it was completed and Yellow Creek Nuclear Plant operating heavy machinery. In 1985, he started work at Aqua Glass and retired in 2002. Bob loved his family and always loved when they stopped by for a visit. He was certainly a devoted husband, dad, and granddad. He loved sports and Fox News. You could always be certain a ballgame or Fox News would be on TV when you stopped by. Bob departed this life June 3, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 6 months, and 18 days. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Montez Weaver Grisham; one son, Trace Grisham and wife Dana of Milledgeville, Tennessee; 3 grandchildren, David and wife Ashley Grisham of Savannah, Tennessee. John and wife Shelly Grisham of Enville, Tennessee, and Danea and husband Nathan Franks of Savannah, Tennessee; 6 great grandchildren, Ty Grisham, Taylee Grisham, Riley Grisham, River Grisham, Adalynn Grisham, and Lincoln Grisham; one sister, Marie Long of Sunnyland, Illinois; and one brother, Jimmy Grisham of Morris Chapel, Tennessee. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters, Lois Chalk, Dovie Beckham, Demova Gibbs, and Katie Jordan, and 4 brothers Roy Grisham, Lendon Grisham, Dendon Grisham, and JR Grisham.
